It explored trawl fishing grounds in Mauritania and Guinea Bissau for the first time in the deep sea fishing industry. In 1989 it deployed vessels to the Mediterranean Sea and targeted the highest quality Bluefin tuna. Additionally, it explored the best quality fishing grounds for Southern bluefin tuna in areas traditionally fished exclusively by Japan and has three vessels working in this area.
The growth of Dong Won Fisheries results from the efforts and dedication of the company’s employees and vessel crews.
